Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library (FOSPL)

The Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library is a non-profit charitable group formed to support the Sunnyvale Public Library by providing funding and services that are not provided through the regular budgetary process.

Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF)

The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations is a division of the American Library Association.  ALTAFF works at the local, state, and national levels to effectively promote and advocate for libraries, encouraging the development of library foundations, and engaging corporate supporters to unite and strengthen voices in support of libraries.   www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/altaff/index.cfm

North East Texas Library System (NETLS)

The North East Texas Library System serves the public libraries in 33 counties in the northeast corner of the state.  NETLS responds to member needs by offering customized, innovative programs, acting as a catalyst by providing and fostering leadership, and serving as an advocate for libraries.  Through cooperation NETLS members meet the challenge of bringing the best in library services to their own communities.   www.netls.org

Texas Library Association (TLA)

Texas Library Association is a professional organization that promotes, supports and improves library service in Texas by encouraging the indetification, development, and maintenance of library services which will meet the informational, cultural, educational, and recreational needs of the citizens of Texas.   www.txla.org

Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC)

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission oversees and assists with state-wide library programs, meeting the reading-related needs of Texans with disabilities and preserving and providing access to significant Texas documents.  TSLAC provides all Texas public library members access to the TexShare Databases.   www.tsl.state.tx.us

Public Library Association (PLA)

The Public Library Association is a division of the American Library Association.  It is a member-driven organization that exists to provide a diverse program of communication, publication, advocacy, continuing education, and programming for its members and others interested in the advancement of public library service.   http://www.ala.org/pla/

American Library Association (ALA)

The American Library Association is the oldest and largest library association in the world.  Its purpose is to provide leadership for the development, promotion and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all. Its goal is to ensure that librarians are visible change agents in their communities and that libraries are well funded and fully utilized by their constituents.   www.ala.org
